The locals like being photographed…

I find them everywhere – on the sides of roads when I stop for a drink, when I’m ducking the rain, when I’m just hanging out.

When the camera comes out, there is usually a feeling of awe and excitement.  This makes my job easy.

The weather is hot but the locals seem cool

It hurts my skin, that's how hot it is around 1-3pm.  Nothing a little ice and sugar cane juice  can't heal.  Also, I learned a trick - move slowly, or at least slower than I usually do.  One warning, in the shade is where the mosquitoes lie in wait.  So get bit or be hot.
